Brenau University Engagement Fair
Brenau University held an Organization Day to allow local civic, campus, and student religious organizations to connect with students. The Hall County LWV was pleased to offer information about the league and connections to the local Board of Elections for questions about voting eligibility and registration.
Observer Corps
The Observer Corps is a traditional part of the league’ commitment to civic engagement. League members monitor various public meetings for activity that impacts the league’s mission, particularly in regards fair and open elections.
This year a grant provides local leagues a small stipend for attending their local county’s Board of Elections meetings. Hall County LWV began to establish this practice early on and has gone further in taking advantage of opportunities from the Board of Elections to observe their procedures and understand their processes. A good working relationship with the board and staff allows us to address any issues quickly and professionally.
